New Managing Director of Sales appointed
Arnold Büscher has taken over as Managing Director for Sales Germany at U.I.Lapp, a company of the Lapp Group. He succeeds Gerald Lawrenz, who had held the position since 2012.
Before taking up his new position at U.I.Lapp, mechanical engineer Arnold Büscher held various management positions in industry. Arnold Büscher gained international experience as Managing Director of Rittal in the USA, among other things. Most recently, as Managing Director at Weidmüller, he was responsible for business in Germany and Central Europe. Arnold Büscher wants to strengthen all sales channels and focus on the growth markets in the railroad, food industry and robotics sectors. Another focus of his activities will be the development and expansion of system solutions under the name 'Ölflex Connect' with a comprehensive range of products and services relating to pre-assembled cables.
The group of companies was founded in 1959 and is still entirely family-owned today. In the 2015/16 financial year, it generated consolidated sales of 901 million euros. Lapp employs around 3,440 people worldwide, has 17 production sites and around 40 sales companies and cooperates with around 100 foreign representatives.
