As Honorary Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board, Ursula Ida Lapp will continue to support the Lapp Group in an advisory capacity. Her successor as Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Andreas Lapp, has handed over his previous positions as CEO for Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa and Managing Director of U.I. Lapp GmbH to his nephew Matthias Lapp.

Ursula Ida Lapp will not only remain associated with the company as Honorary Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board of U.I. Lapp GmbH and Lapp Holding AG, but will also continue to manage the Oskar Lapp Foundation together with her sons. This was established in 1992 in honor of her husband Oskar Lapp, who died of a heart attack in 1987. The foundation aims to offer young scientists additional incentives to become involved in cardiovascular research. The Oskar Lapp Research Prize, endowed with 12,000 euros, is awarded annually, and every two years the Oskar Lapp Scholarship is also awarded, which provides up to 20,000 euros for material resources.

Social responsibility is particularly important to the company founder. The Lapp family supports the reconciliation of work and family life through the Kind association. The construction of the new Bärcheninsel childcare center in Stuttgart's Dürrlewang district, the community center in Stuttgart-Möhringen and the construction of a pavilion for the Pestalozzi School in Stuttgart-Vaihingen were only possible thanks to the financial support of the Lapp family.
