Lapp takes over Swiss partner Volland
The Stuttgart-based company Lapp, a provider of cable and connection technology, has taken over its long-standing Swiss sales partner Volland. The system provider of cable technology currently employs 35 people.

© LappVolland AG, based in Rümlang, has been Lapp's sales partner since it was founded in 1960, making it the first one abroad. Reto Volland, Managing Director of the company for 32 years, will continue to manage the business of the new Lapp company. Company founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors Rudolf Volland on the takeover: "Our aim is to lead Volland AG into a secure future after almost six decades. We are arranging the succession at an early stage and ensuring continuity and new prospects for the future. Matthias Lapp, CEO of Lapp for the Europe, Latin America, Africa and Middle East region, also sees the acquisition as an important step for his own company: "Switzerland has always been an important market for us, and together with Volland we have been successful here for almost six decades. Now is the right time to go one step further."
The takeover is subject to the approval of the relevant authorities.
