Industrialization in control and switchgear construction
"Such things are undoubtedly great, but we are far too small for them." We often hear statements like this from switchgear manufacturers when it comes to using engineering software from Eplan or automation solutions from Rittal.
Today, we know from numerous projects that industrialization in switchgear construction pays off much earlier than you might think. Consistent data is the key to success and helps to avoid errors and significantly increase productivity. At the heart of this is the digital twin, which links all process steps from engineering to mechanical enclosure processing, wiring and testing through to service.

Dirk Pieler holds a doctorate in electrical engineering and automation technology and is currently Head of the Industry business unit at Rittal.
