The digital transformation, which is producing innovations at an unprecedented pace, is forcing IT managers to accelerate their response times and create data centers that grow with the new requirements. With this in mind, Rittal has developed the 'Rimatrix Next Generation' (NG) IT infrastructure platform. The open platform enables the construction of data centers of all performance classes - whether single-rack or container solutions, central data centers, distributed edge data centers or highly scalable colocation, cloud and hyperscale data centers. Thanks to modularity and backwards compatibility, individual components of an infrastructure can be modernized in a targeted manner.

With modules from five functional areas, IT managers receive solutions tailored to their requirements, consisting of racks, climate control, power supply and backup as well as IT monitoring and security. This allows users to cover their needs and meet local requirements worldwide - with solutions from Rittal as well as from tested and certified partners, for example for power supply and fire protection.

The platform solutions are scalable in terms of size, performance, security and reliability. 'Rimatrix NG' also supports the use of Open Compute Project (OCP) components and direct current in standard environments. Data center operators can easily integrate the OCP solutions into the existing AC architecture without having to convert the entire data center and, for example, the uninterruptible power supply to DC.
