The IE5+ synchronous motor from Nord Drivesystems is also available in a ventilated or smooth version up to an output of 4.0 kW. On request, the motors are available with a very smooth surface and the 'nsd tupH' surface finish.
According to the manufacturer Nord Drivesystems, the energy-efficient permanent magnet synchronous motors offer high efficiency and a wide torque range. This makes them particularly suitable for economical operation in the partial load range. The motors are just as interesting for intralogistics as they are for hygiene-sensitive areas in the food and pharmaceutical industries.
The motor was presented in size 71 in 2020; size 90 is now available for the power range from 1.1 to 4.0 kW with a continuous torque of 6.8 to 18.2 Nm. Direct motor mounting as well as NEMA and IEC motor mounting are available, encoders and mechanical brakes can be integrated on request. The synchronous motors can be combined with all of the manufacturer's gearboxes and drive electronics in a modular system.
