Faulhaber
Hollow shaft motor with large aperture
The DM66200H series from Faulhaber is a hollow shaft motor with an internal opening (aperture) of 40 mm.
The motor addresses Faulhaber applications in which a large aperture is required, e.g. to feed cables through. The rotor runs around the opening and directly drives the mechanics arranged around it without a gear ratio. The company's stepper motor technology is used here.
Despite the large aperture, the moving mass of the rotor remains low, so that speeds of up to 2000 min-1 are possible. The motor achieves a dynamic torque of up to 180 mNm. With a resolution of 1.8° in full step, it can perform positioning tasks precisely in an open loop.
Originally developed for applications in precision optics, the motor can also be used for impellers and prostheses, in robotics and for a wide range of control and positioning tasks.
