Focus on core business
Lenze sells 'Mobile Drives' business unit
Lenze is divesting the 'Mobile Drives' division of its Swiss subsidiary Lenze Schmidhauser. A buyer has already been found.
The decision is strategic: Lenze wants to focus more on its core business in future and is therefore selling the 'Mobile Drives' division of its Swiss subsidiary Lenze Schmidhauser. This develops and sells components for the electrification of auxiliary units in commercial vehicles. The new owner of the mobile drive technology division is Bucher Hydraulics, one of the leading manufacturers of hydraulic solutions for mobile work applications. The transaction will be completed following the successful separation of the Mobile Drives division from the Lenze Group. Until then, Schmidhauser's business will continue unchanged.
Christian Wendler, CEO of Lenze, on the background to the transaction: "We are pleased that the sale has given us additional scope for further strategic measures to strengthen our core business. Furthermore, we are pleased to have found a buyer in Bucher who, in addition to taking over all employees and remaining at the Romanshorn site, will continue and further develop the business in the commercial vehicle sector with commitment."
