Crane motors
Fulfill efficiency class IES1/IES2
According to the manufacturer Siemens, the Simotics DP crane motors are now more energy-efficient and compact and are based on the "1LE1" platform. The gray cast iron motors were specially developed for humid, salty air in container ports around the world.
They comply with efficiency class IES1/IES2 on the inverter and work in hoist, trolley, slewing, luffing and travel units. The product range starts with axle height AH132 and extends up to axle height AH315L. Both non-ventilated and ventilated designs are available for crane-typical intermittent operation. The outputs range from 1.1 kW to 481 kW with all common voltages and torques from 10 to 4600 Nm. According to the supplier, the motors have a high overload capacity and a speed setting range of 730 to 1730 rpm. The overload capacity of up to 450 % in some cases ensures large torque reserves for high impact loads. Various crane-specific attachments such as special brakes for safe stopping or pulse generators for speed detection for inverter control are optionally available. The motors are protected against ambient temperatures up to +40 °C - optionally even higher -, against humidity up to 100 % and against salty atmospheres.
