Lenze
CTO Frank Maier says goodbye
Claus Bischoff will become the new Chief Technology Officer at Lenze on May 1 after a one-month transition period.
Frank Maier (pictured right) will retire after 14 years on the Management Board and 18 years at Lenze. He will be succeeded by Dr. Claus Bischoff. As Chief Technology Officer, the 49-year-old Bischoff will be responsible for research and development as well as innovation. In this role, he will continue to drive forward the company's digital transformation and the technological development of its range of services.
Maier joined Lenze in 2005 and, among other things, drove forward the transformation of the product portfolio into a scalable mechatronics modular system and paid particular attention to expanding the software portfolio and software expertise.
Bischoff joins the Lenze Executive Board as an expert in engineering, automation and mechatronics. He has many years of experience in setting up digital and agile approaches as well as in organizational and business development in globally operating companies. The doctor of engineering (PhD in Mechatronics & Automation) is moving from mechatronics specialist Marquardt, where he was most recently responsible for the Engineering, Sales & Business Units departments as Managing Director and CTO. Previously, he was Head of Engineering at Continental, where he was responsible for the development of hybrid and electric vehicle systems, as well as holding management positions at Magna International and Robert Bosch.
