Smart textbook to encourage pupils
Researchers at TU Kaiserslautern and DFKI are working on an intelligent textbook for tablets and computers in the 'HyperMind' project. With the help of integrated sensors, it should help to identify pupils' strengths and weaknesses at an early stage.
Making German schools fit for digitalization - this is the goal of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. As part of the 'Education offensive for the digital knowledge society', new ideas and concepts are being developed to make the school lessons of tomorrow smarter - such as digital blackboards or data glasses that are designed to teach the subject matter in a playful way. Researchers at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence(DFKI) and the Technical University (TU) of Kaiserslautern are working on such technologies. One essence of their research work is the intelligent textbook or 'HyperMind' project, which the scientists want to present at Cebit 2017.
TU Kaiserslautern and DFKI have long been working on making the latest technologies usable for studying and teaching, but also for teaching in schools. 'HyperMind' is a sub-project of the 'U.EDU Unified Education - Media Education along the Teacher Training Chain' project, which is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research as part of the joint 'Teacher Training Quality Campaign' of the federal and state governments.
