Only 7.8 µm dot pitch

The Scancontrol 29xx-10/BL laser profile scanner from Micro-Epsilon is equipped with a blue-violet laser diode and projects a laser line just 10 mm long onto the measurement object with a profile resolution of 1280 points.

This results in a point distance of just 7.8 µm, which, according to the manufacturer, means that this laser profile scanner has more than twice the resolution of previous laser scanners with a 25 mm measuring range. Compared to the red laser, the blue laser line can be imaged much more sharply; the light does not penetrate the object being measured and is much more stable. This means that glowing and organic objects can be measured more reliably.
