The position of Managing Director Rohm Semiconductor Europe has been newly created and, according to the company, is of strategic importance for Rohm's growth in Europe. Wolfram Harnack was previously President of the European Semiconductor Division at Mitsubishi Electric Europe.

For Harnack, this means a de facto return to Rohm, which he joined in January 2008 as Sales Director. He moved to Mitsubishi in 2015, but has now decided to take on a new challenge: "I see it as my task, together with Toshimitsu Suzuki, to further accelerate our growth in the automotive and industrial segment, particularly in the power and analog area, on which the company is focusing." ROHM's goal is to significantly increase sales outside the Japanese domestic market. The European region will play an important role in this.

As of March 31, 2020, Rohm Semiconductor generated sales of around 3.326 billion US dollars and employed 22,191 people. The company develops and manufactures a product range that includes integrated circuits, SiC diodes, SiC MOSFETs, SiC modules, transistors, LEDs and other electronic components as well as resistors, tantalum capacitors and printheads.

Rohm Semiconductor Europe, headquartered near Düsseldorf, serves the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East, Africa).
