Inductive displacement transducers with IO-Link

IO-Link is now also available for TWK's inductive displacement transducers. Their modular design allows the position transducer to be combined with the IO-Link electronics module IEIO25, which complements the 'IE25' series of electronics modules with SSI and CANopen interface.

The models 'IW10' (up to 8 mm measuring stroke), 'IW101' (up to 15 mm) and 'IW120' (up to 200 mm) from TWK Elektronik are available as displacement transducers. A cable with an M8 connector is used to establish the connection to the IEIO25 module, which can be placed a few meters away and communicates with the IO-Link master via the 3-wire cable with an M12 connector. The IEIO25 scans the coil system of the position sensor and transmits the position value via IO-Link with 12-bit resolution and a cycle time of less than 5 ms. Additional bytes for the controller temperature and an error bit in the event of an error are also transmitted via the process data. The controller can execute a position preset or load the default values via the control byte (output data of the master).
