Increased sales and profit

Endress+Hauser put the coronavirus pandemic behind it economically in 2021 with strong growth. The Group's consolidated sales increased by more than 11%.

With an increase in turnover to just under 2.9 billion euros, the company, which specializes in measurement and automation technology, significantly exceeded its own expectations. The family-owned company not only increased its net sales and profit compared to the previous year, but also exceeded the comparable figures from 2019. Employment also grew significantly: at the end of 2021, the group had more than 15,000 employees worldwide, over 600 more than a year ago.

The rapid recovery was not foreseeable for the company. "We have seen strong catch-up effects, but have also experienced solid growth in practically all of our strategic industries," said CEO Matthias Altendorf.

Order intake grew even faster than net sales in 2021. Endress+Hauser started the current year with a significantly higher order backlog. Provided there are no unexpected setbacks at a political level or major upheavals on the financial markets, the company expects sales growth in the upper single-digit percentage range for 2022.

Endress+Hauser will present its audited business figures for 2021 on April 5, 2022 in Basel.
