The displacement sensor from Megatron with rod end, mounting blocks or flange. According to the supplier, the features of the sensor include high measuring accuracy with a linearity tolerance of up to ±0.05%, compact dimensions and a service life of >100 million axis movements. In addition, the displacement sensor has a high-resolution conductive plastic resistive element. The mechanical detection of the linear movement is carried out by the push rod guided on one side. Three designs in measuring lengths of 25 to 250 mm are available to the designer for coupling to the application. In the version with rod ends, the ball joints compensate for movements transverse to the push rod so that non-linear movements can also be coupled simply and mechanically without stress. As the linear potentiometer does not require electronic signal conversion, the signal is immediately available without delay after switching on and off and is temperature-stable and robust against EMC influences.
