With algorithms that capture challenging codes including direct part marks (DPMs) and ultra-compact symbols, they provide a solution for traceability across industrial manufacturing. The barcode reader is powered by Omron 's 'WebLink' platform; all three versions offer the intuitive 'WebLink' PC configuration and run-time display utility, compatible with any Windows-enabled device. 'WebLink' enables the export of images to a PC file location, customization of data output (pre-amble, post-amble) and the saving or restoring of configuration files for the barcode reader. This allows easy cloning of the reader configuration across multiple barcode readers. Reading ranges of up to 1.1 m are possible. Use in hands-free presentation mode can help meet the requirements for touchless operation, while chemical resistance to alcohol-based cleaning agents ensures the reader can withstand frequent cleaning procedures.

For portable barcode reading applications requiring IP65/67 or wireless connectivity, the 'HS-360x' barcode reader has been customized with the latest X-mode decoding algorithms and updated WebLink PC configuration software under new Omron branding. The model is introduced as the V450-H and is an additional extension to the portable barcode reader series.
