Omron has been working strategically with Techman since 2018 to meet the growing global demand for automation due to the shortage of skilled workers. Since then, Techman's 'TM' series cobots have been sold worldwide as a co-branded product through Omron's distribution network. The two companies have also jointly developed the 'Mobile Manipulator' mobile work robot. As part of the current investment, the two companies intend to jointly develop innovative robotic solutions that link Omron automation equipment with Techman's collaborative robots.
