Alan Lee becomes Chief Technology Officer
Analog Devices recently announced the appointment of Alan Lee to the position of Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
As CTO, Lee will be dedicated to identifying and advancing next-generation technologies that will reshape and shape the semiconductor industry and its markets in the future. Together with his team, he will work closely with customers, universities, research organizations and other strategic partners to create novel technologies and develop the necessary ecosystems to support their market introduction.
Reporting directly to ADI 's CEO, Lee succeeds the company's former CTO, Dan Leibholz, who is now moving to the position of Senior Vice President of ADI's Digital Business Unit. Lee was previously Head of Research and Advanced Development at AMD. During this time, his teams developed innovative hardware, software, artificial intelligence and high-performance computing technologies and were also responsible for numerous innovations and patents over the past ten years. Prior to AMD, Lee was CEO of a private company developing technology for high-frequency trading and quantitative financial analysis. Prior to that, he gained expertise in large engineering and technology projects while working for Intel and IBM.
Lee currently chairs the CTO Committee for the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) and the CTO Council for the Global Semiconductor Alliance (GSA). He has also served on the Board of Directors of the Semiconductor Research Corporation and the Board of Trustees of the NSF Institute for Pure and Applied Mathematics.
