Reliable signal evaluation

Schmersal is launching the SRB-E-302ST safety relay module and the SRB-E-402EM output extension. The safety relay module acts as an evaluation unit for two safety sensors and replaces several modules from the older AES series.

The safety relay module from Schmersal can be used to monitor common electromechanical and electronic safety switches as well as safety sensors and optoelectronic protective devices (AOPDs). Depending on the application, the module switches with the safe relay contacts or with a safe semiconductor output. Applications can be realized up to category 4/ PL e and SIL 3. Like the SRB-E-302ST, the SRB-E-402EM output extension is housed in the compact housing of the SRB-E series. Designers can use it to multiply and amplify the contacts of safe relays and semiconductor outputs. Four safety contacts, two signaling contacts and feedback contacts are available. The safety module can be used as an extension module for all safety modules and safety controllers that have feedback circuit monitoring.
