Prof. Dr. Armin Schnettler is the new VDE President

As the new President of the VDE, Prof. Dr. Armin Schnettler, CEO Energy Business at Siemens Energy, wants to focus on safety, security and sustainability.

Dr. Gunther Kegel, CEO at Pepperl + Fuchs, is now succeeded by Prof. Dr. Armin Schnettler, CEO New Energy Business at Siemens Energy, as President of the VDE Technology Association. His deputy is Alf Henryk Wulf, member of the Supervisory Board of Software AG.

As Chairman of the VDE Energy Technology Society (VDE ETG), Schnettler played a key role in driving forward the energy transition and grid expansion. "During my term as VDE President, I would like to focus the VDE even more strongly on the topics of sustainability and 'Energy of the Future' as well as safety and security," says Schnettler.
