Florian Spiteller strengthens management team
Since January 2019, Florian Spiteller has been Head of External Relations & Support and thus a member of the Executive Board of the German Commission for Electrical, Electronic & Information Technologies in DIN and VDE (VDE|DKE), a standardization organization supported by the VDE.
Florian Spiteller's (35) area of activity includes strategic issues relating to overall standardization policy, supporting the management committees of the IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) and Cenelec (European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization) as well as monitoring and evaluating standardization-relevant developments in over 70 nations worldwide.
Florian Spiteller studied electrical engineering at the Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen, specializing in information technology. He began his professional career in 2011 as a test and research engineer at iSyst Intelligente Systeme GmbH in Nuremberg, where he most recently worked as Head of Sales and Marketing. At the beginning of 2018, Spiteller moved to Eto Sensoric in Nuremberg as Head of Sales and Marketing. The electrical engineer wants to use his experience in sales to promote cooperation within the VDE community of over 100,000 experts, increase the proportion of experts in standardization and highlight the benefits of standardization for society: "There is still a widespread opinion that standardization is boring, dusty, takes too much time and hinders innovation. In times of globalization, however, it is all the more true that whoever makes the standard has the market," emphasizes Spiteller. Standardization ensures that products are safer. "Standardization is just as important for the economy as it is for society. My aim is to communicate this," says the sales representative.
Along with Spiteller, Kevin Behnisch (Head of Technology) and Johannes Stein (Head of Production) are members of the VDE|DKE Executive Board. The Chairman is Michael Teigeler.
