First ASi-5 safety modules
With the BWU4209 input modules for potential-free contacts and BWU4210 for optoelectronic protective devices, Bihl+Wiedemann presents the first products with ASi-5 safety technology for complex safety sensors and applications.
Thanks to its high speed, large data bandwidth and extended diagnostics, the already TÜV-certified safety version of ASi-5 is always an ideal addition to ASi Safety at Work when several safe signals or a combination of safe and non-safe signals need to be transmitted.
Both ASi-5 safety modules with IP67 protection from Bihl+Wiedemann have two safe two-channel inputs and twelve self-configuring I/Os for non-safe signals. 'Self-configuring' means that if an output bit is set in the PLC output data, it is an output with switching diagnostics in the corresponding input bit; if not, it is automatically mapped as an input signal in the PLC input data. Both modules are connected via ASi profile cables. The inputs and outputs are supplied from AUX, the peripheral connection is realized via eight five-pin M12 sockets.
