It has two ASi-5/ASi-3 masters and is therefore able to communicate in two ASi networks simultaneously as an ASi-5 master and an ASi-3 master. The onboard web server also allows easy diagnostics and remote maintenance, while the integrated OPC UA server enables integration into Industry 4.0 applications. In addition to ASi Safety and Safe Link, the safe fieldbus protocol openSafety is also integrated via Powerlink.

According to Bihl+Wiedemann, the gateway also has three two-channel safe inputs, which can be expanded by up to 62 two-channel safe inputs. Six fast electronic safe outputs and a chip card for storing configuration data are also onboard as standard.
