Hybrid trade fair SPS 2021
SPS 2021 completely canceled
Following the announcements made by Bavarian Minister President Dr. Markus Söder at today's press conference, Mesago Messe Frankfurt is canceling SPS 2021, which was scheduled to take place in Nuremberg from 23 to 25 November.
In addition to the continuing rise in infection and hospitalization rates, the new 2G Plus regulation and the upper limits set for events make it impossible to hold the SPS, according to the responsible parties at Mesago Messe Frankfurt on Friday evening (19 November). Not only the live trade fair in Nuremberg was canceled, but also the digital supplement SPS on air.
"We very much regret this decision, but in view of the dynamically deteriorating situation and the stricter regulations, we feel compelled to cancel this year's industry meeting place," emphasizes Martin Roschkowski, Managing Director of Mesago Messe Frankfurt. "Our aim with SPS 2021 was to create the best possible business platform under the safest possible conditions. We know how important SPS is for our customers and partners, especially this year. Unfortunately, it will not be possible to hold the event despite constantly improving safety measures," he continued.
The cancellation was preceded by a press conference held by Markus Söder. In it, he announced stricter corona measures due to the epidemic situation in Bavaria, which include restrictions in gastronomy in addition to the above-mentioned requirements.
