Digitization of security devices
If new functions are added to components of safety devices, a complex recertification process is usually necessary. To simplify this, Hima is launching the next version of 'SILworX' on the market.
Hima 's engineering tool distinguishes between core functions for programming safety controllers and Industry 4.0 functions. New functions (plug-ins) that are not safety-relevant can now be integrated via an additional interface without affecting the safety functions of the core functions. Users can create extensions themselves or use plug-in modules from Hima or other providers. The latest version of the engineering tool also simplifies collaboration in automation projects: With the 'multi-file project' option, different versions and parts of a project can be managed by saving projects in multiple individual files. These can be imported into external versioning tools and later merged back into one project.
