Jerry Duque succeeds Frits Luikenaar, who retired in December 2022. With this appointment, the provider of safety-related automation solutions is pursuing its strategy of strengthening customer proximity in key markets and driving forward the expansion of its sales and service presence.

"North America is an important market for us. Jerry and his team bring many years of experience in sales, engineering and service as well as project management - excellent prerequisites for creating added value for our customers in North America," explains Jörg de la Motte, CEO of Hima.

An electrical engineer and MBA with experience in the oil and gas industry, Duque started his career at Hima in 2014 and has held various positions as Sales Director in different regions - since 2021 as Sales Director for the USA and Canada. In addition to his role as General Manager, Duque will continue his responsibilities as Sales Director for the USA and Canada.
Hima continues to expand the team in the region as well as partnerships with leading functional safety providers. In addition to the traditional markets of the oil and gas industry, refineries and the chemical and petrochemical industries, the company also intends to develop its rail business in North America.
