Takeover of Origa Solutions
The Hima Group from Brühl (Baden) has acquired the Norwegian technology company Origo Solutions. The corresponding company purchase agreement was signed on January 8 and came into effect on January 31.

Origo Solutions was previously owned by Moreld AS (60.1%) and Aker Capital AS (39.9%) and was part of the Moreld Group, an industrial, multidisciplinary engineering group providing services in the offshore energy and marine sectors.
Origo Solutions has established itself in particular with safety and automation solutions for the monitoring, control and protection of offshore and onshore installations as well as integrated SCADA systems for the wind industry. Origo Solutions has also been the exclusive Hima representative in Norway for more than 20 years.
Origo Solutions will leverage Hima's global presence to drive international business, particularly in the renewable energy sector. As the regional headquarters for Scandinavia, the Norwegian company will also be responsible for sales and service in Sweden and Denmark.
Hima wants to ensure management continuity: Bjørn-Tore Lenes as CEO and Glenn Kjetil Nystøl as CFO will continue to lead Origo Solutions. The 100 employees in Kristiansand (head office), Stavanger and Arendal will be retained and further recruitment is planned. The company will continue to operate under the name "Origo Solutions" with the addition "A Hima Company".
