The 22.5 mm wide basic device with eight inputs and four semiconductor outputs monitors up to four safety functions on machines. These include, for example, emergency stop, safety door monitoring, safety light curtain and two-hand control. Safety requirements up to safety category PL e or SIL CL 3 can also be implemented. The basic device from Pilz is a solution for small machines in various industries and application areas such as packaging, robot cells or in the food and beverage sector.

All safety circuits are created using the license-free software tool PNOZmulti Configurator. The safety circuit can be transferred directly to the device via a USB cable and saved on the chip card. If more safety functions are required, modular expandable base units are available for machines with a wider range of functions.
