EUnited Robotics
Walter Zulauf new Chairman
Walter Zulauf, Director of Technology at the Güdel Group (pictured center), was elected as the new Chairman at the EUnited Robotics General Assembly in Brussels. He will steer the fortunes of the association for the next three years.
Zulauf succeeds Henrik A. Schunk, Managing Partner of Schunk, who has held the position for the past six years and has now been elected Deputy Chairman of the association. During his time as Chairman, Henrik Schunk was instrumental in raising the profile of EUnited Robotics as the European robotics industry association. He established the association as the industry's mouthpiece vis-à-vis the European Commission and started a regular dialog. Under his leadership, experts and leading representatives of the industry met in 2015 for the first European Robotics Summit - a platform that initiated an open discourse on the future-oriented topics of the robotics industry in Europe.
As the new Chairman of EUnited Robotics, Walter Zulauf wants to continue working on the future topics of the industry. Güdel is one of the founding members of EUnited Robotics from 2004. Walter Zulauf has worked at Güdel since 1990 and worked closely with the company owner Rudolf Güdel, who passed away in 2014 and was actively involved in shaping the activities of EUnited Robotics for several years. Last but not least, Wilfried Eberhardt (CMO of Kuka) was confirmed for a second term as Deputy Chairman.
Members of EUnited Robotics are ABB (Sweden), Bluebotics (Switzerland), Comau (Italy), Erowa (Switzerland), F&P Robotics (Switzerland), Güdel (Switzerland), Isra Vision (Germany), Kuka (Germany), Schunk (Germany), Spinea (Slovakia) and Stäubli (France). Fraunhofer IPA and the Technical University of Munich are also cooperation partners.
