Robotics Award 2016 for X-Arm robot hand

WHN Technologies from Grabenstätt impressed the jury of this year's Robotics Award. It honors innovative, applied robot solutions. Computer&AUTOMATION took a closer look at the three finalists.

Nicole Gusterhuber, one of the two Managing Directors of WHN Technologies, accepted the Robotics Award 2016 from Lower Saxony's Minister for Economic Affairs, Labor and Transport, Olaf Lies, at the Hannover Messe.

Every year, Deutsche Messe presents the Robotics Award for technological innovations that contribute to robot-supported solutions in the field of industrial automation or mobile robots and autonomous systems. The condition is that the submissions are presented to the public for the first time or are significant further developments. The jury also ensures that the solutions are at least market-ready, or even better, industrially tested. In 2016, the jury was impressed by the following robot solutions:
