Virendra Shelar becomes President and CEO Industrial Automation EMEA
Omron has appointed Virendra Shelar as Executive Officer, President and CEO of Omron Europe B.V., effective April 1, 2026. He will be based at Omron's European headquarters in Hoofddorp, the Netherlands.
Virendra Shelar has more than 25 years of experience in the high-tech industry and in leadership development and business transformation. He joined Omron in 2014 and has since held various leadership positions including President of Omron Management Center of Asia Pacific, General Manager of Global People Strategy, Chairman of Omron Management Center of Europe and Senior General Manager of Global Business Operations and Services in the Industrial Automation Division.
Shelar succeeds Fernando Colás, who shaped Omron's European business for decades and accompanied the company for more than 40 years.
