More power for the Cobot
With the Motoman HC20DT IP67, Yaskawa is expanding its current range of collaborative robots with a significantly larger model that is designed for a higher payload and an extended working range.
According to the supplier , the cobot extends the range of applications for HRC applications to a handling weight of 20 kilograms and a reach of 1700 millimetres, enabling flexible use in many different applications.
The Motoman HC20DT IP67 is used to support users who have to perform physically demanding tasks, for example by using the robot to lift loads. The robot is suitable for harsh environments thanks to its dust and waterproof IP67 protection class.
Thanks to the six integrated torque sensors and the monitoring and evaluation of external forces, the robot arm can be guided and programmed directly by hand (Direct Teach).
© YaskawaYaskawa ensures safe contact with the operator through the use of six integrated torque sensors, which enable flexible interaction between the robot and its environment. The robot arm is designed in such a way that there is no risk of crushing. From the point of view of German and European safety standards, the Motoman HC20DT IP67 can be used as a robot with power and force limitation in accordance with the technical specification ISO TS 15066 and, depending on the respective risk assessment, does not require any additional protective measures.
The robot can be operated in hybrid mode to increase performance by connecting external safety technology, such as laser scanners. This allows the cobot to switch between collaborative, speed-reduced and full speed in order to achieve the maximum cycle time depending on the distance to the employee.
