Management change at Universal Robots

Teradyne has announced that Jürgen von Hollen, previously President of Universal Robots (UR), will leave the company on December 31, 2020. Von Hollen is seeking a position outside the UR competitive environment.

Jürgen von Hollen has been President of Universal Robots since October 2016. Gregory Smith, President of the Industrial Automation Division at Teradyne, will hold the position until a successor is found.

Universal Robots was founded in 2005 and is part of Teradyne. UR is headquartered in Odense, Denmark, and achieved a turnover of around 248 million US dollars in 2019.
