New Regional Sales Director Western Europe appointed

Since December 1, 2020, Andrea Alboni has headed the Western Europe region for Universal Robots (UR) and, as Regional Sales Director, is responsible for all of the cobot pioneer's activities in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Alboni is taking the lead in one of the company's most important sales markets. "My aim for the coming year is to continue to strengthen the Western Europe region and further expand our position in the market. Our partners, customers and all those who are following UR's journey can look forward to an eventful 2021 together," explains Alboni. The experienced sales expert has been with Universal Robots since April 2019 and has driven the commercial development of the core market of Western Europe as Regional Sales Manager. Since July 2020, he has also been responsible for the operational management of the region on an ad interim basis.

In his new position, Alboni intends to further strengthen the partner network. In the coming year, the business focus will continue to be on strengthening small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from various sectors such as pharmaceutical and medical technology, electronics and the food industry. The DACH region, which has a particularly high density of SMEs, plays an important role in the success of the Danish robotics manufacturer.
