Hiwin is a partner in the UR+ ecosystem
The drive specialist Hiwin is a partner in the UR+ ecosystem and gives the cobots a greater range with a 7th mechanical axis.
Users of cobots from Universal Robots can now access a range extension from Hiwin. As a partner in the UR+ ecosystem, the drive specialist offers a '7th axis kit' as a certified 'Plug and Produce' peripheral.
In addition to the mechanical axis including adapter for the cobot, the kit includes a ready-to-connect control cabinet. The centerpiece is the supplied UR Cap software, which is used to control the axis via the robot's teach pendant.
Users can individually configure the appropriate axis using Hiwin's online configurator.
