Dr. Till Reuter steps down

Dr. Till Reuter, CEO of Kuka AG for almost ten years, will be leaving the Augsburg-based robot manufacturer early in December. Peter Mohnen takes on the role of interim CEO, Andreas Pabst that of interim CFO.

Dr. Till Reuter: "I am proud to have been part of Kuka for the last ten years. Robotics and automation are the key topics of the future."

Reuter joined the company in 2009 and led Kuka out of the economic crisis. Together with the Kuka team, he shaped the strategy for Industry 4.0, collaborative robots and growth in China. Reuter is now stepping down from his position on the Executive Board in December in agreement with the Supervisory Board.

Kuka is well positioned to get back on the path of sustainable growth by capitalizing on the increasing demand for intelligent robotics and strengthening its position in the Chinese market. "

All existing investor agreements Kuka has signed with Midea as majority shareholder, including the shielding agreement for the protection of intellectual property, remain unchanged, according to the company.

After Reuter, Liepert also leaves

Following the departure of Dr. Till Reuter as CEO at Kuka, Dr. Bernd Liepert, the previous Chief Innovation Officer, will also be leaving the Augsburg-based robot manufacturer in January 2019 - and other executives will be leaving with him.
