The Linux-based, freely programmable, compact and flat top-hat rail module is suitable for industrial use and offers two separate Ethernet interfaces as well as an integrated 3-port switch and 8 Gbyte internal eMMC memory. The device also has two RS485 and two USB 2.0 interfaces, as well as an analog input and a digital and analog output. Furthermore, a TPM (Trusted Platform Module) with comprehensive security functions is integrated into the gateway, offering data protection, secure storage processes and protection against external software and hardware attacks.

The module supports communication via wireless M-Bus and is Bluetooth and WiFi-capable. A customized Raspbian OS with real-time patch is pre-installed as the operating system. Thanks to the open platform concept (including full root rights), the RevPi Flat offers maximum design freedom, according to Kunbus. Individual functions can be programmed without effort and allow the implementation of a wide variety of projects, such as the establishment of modern, decentralized energy management or the optimization of existing processes. This makes it possible to record energy-specific values, map process-relevant data and manage master data and maintenance logs. Photovoltaic, wind power and solar systems can be controlled and monitored, ensuring smooth operation.
