One click is enough
With the Remote Access Portal (Welotec-RAP) from Welotec, users have easy access to the end devices in a machine or system; the portal automates routing as well as VPN and firewall rules.
As a point-to-point connection is established directly to the desired device behind the router, the user has almost the same access options as when working on site. The 'Remote Access Portal' consists of the 'Smart EMS' (element management system), a firewall and a PKI (Public Key Infrastructure). A router connects to the portal, which enables access to the devices behind the router. Thanks to the integrated PKI, users do not have to deal with certificate creation and rollout. However, a PKI already in place at the customer's premises can also be connected. A user interface visualizes VPN access points and end devices. With just one click, the routing for remote access to the system is automatically generated, firewall rules are defined, certificates are created and assigned to the routers and the VPN configuration is rolled out. The integrated user administration allows access to various grouped routers and end devices to be managed. To ensure secure access control, all VPN accesses are also logged.
