I/O electronics with X possibilities

"An I/O system as versatile as our customers," is how Sigmatek Managing Director Alexander Melkus describes the 'ready to use' I/O system 'X-DIAS' from Sigmatek, which celebrated its premiere at the trade fair.

This can either be mounted on the top-hat rail or, for higher quantities, simply integrated into the OEM PCB design and plugged onto the rear. The bus connection is already integrated in the I/O modules. The standard bus systems are available for communication with the controller, including Industrial Ethernet and Varan bus. The X-DIAS modules can be mounted on the top-hat rail as standard. Function-oriented connectors with +/- signals for each input and output ensure a clear overview during wiring and commissioning.

The I/O system can be integrated into customer-specific designs for series production of machines with higher quantities. The basic modules can be simply plugged onto customized wiring boards - on the rear. This allows the control cabinet to be used in three dimensions and reduces the footprint. In this version, fuses, cut-off relays and the necessary intermediate wiring can be integrated on the OEM board, for example. Pre-assembled cable harnesses reduce the wiring effort.

The X-DIAS system can be combined or extended with the S-DIAS and P-DIAS automation system (IP67). In the LASAL engineering tool, applications can be designed graphically using object-oriented programming.
