Device features include a 3G/4G cellular/Ethernet gateway, plus a high-performance two-channel VPN protocol suite. The router is housed in an IP40 or IP65 graded case. It comes as a UMTS and LTE+WLAN version as well as custom OEM, for instance as a tag finder to track freight. Specially for OEM versions, hardware shields mean extra agility because these small and plugged add-on modules can be matched to the particular use. Currently there are shields with dual CAN, with serial interfaces and digital I/Os; upcoming are GNSS and LoRa.
