Visualization system functionally expandable via app
Siemens presents a system for operating and monitoring: The web-based visualization system consists of the Simatic WinCC Unified visualization software and the Simatic HMI Unified Comfort Panels HMI operating devices.
An ODK (Open Development Kit) and OpenPipe interface are available to the user.
© SiemensThe Simatic WinCC Unifi ed runtime in the TIA Portal is based on native web technologies such as HTML5, SVG and JavaScript. Siemens placed great importance on openness when designing the system.
Interfaces such as TIA Portal Openess were implemented for this purpose. An ODK (Open Development Kit) and OpenPipe interface are available to the user, as well as the option of integrating other applications into the WinCC Unified user interface in parallel. WinCC Unified Runtime can be accessed via any modern web browser without the installation of separate plug-ins. With the first version, WinCC Unified is available for panel and PC-based solutions. The use of WinCC Unified in the edge and cloud environment will be possible with a subsequent delivery stage.
The Simatic HMI Unified Comfort panels are available with displays from 7 to 22 inches and have a glass front with capacitive multi-touch technology. The visualization is based on the Simatic WinCC Unified system and brings new possibilities to the devices: Dynamic Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) as well as extensive UIControls or Collaboration (a mechanism for exchanging data between WinCC Unified stations).
