2nd place - Hy-Line Computer Components

A new terminal for holographic input from Hy-Line works completely without touch: the device is operated simply by marking virtual buttons in the air. The holographic input system can be divided into two individual parts, the generation of a holographic image and the detection of a touch event.
The holographic image is created by directing the content of an image source - in this case a display - through a special holographic plate. In addition to the angular deflection, a convergent bundling of the rays takes place there, which creates a virtual image floating freely in space. More...

Martin Dibold, Managing Director of Hy-Line Computer Components, was delighted with the award and described the advantages of the terminal, especially in times when contactless operation is gaining in importance, how the holographic input is structured and the response Hy-Line has received to the technology.
