The UHF RFID read/write device is based on internationally standardized UHF technology (ISO 18000-63 or EPC Class 1 Gen 2) and enables RFID gates to be set up by connecting up to four external antennas. According to Pepperl+Fuchs, these enable the fast, simultaneous detection of large quantities of transponders as they pass through, for example during the automated inspection of packages in incoming and outgoing goods as well as during transportation between storage and production areas. The information obtained can be seamlessly integrated into existing backend systems such as ERP or MES. Various antenna types are available for adaptation to the respective application. The UHF reader also enables reading and writing over longer distances. The reader also has additional inputs and outputs, for example for connecting sensors or external signal lights. Highly visible LEDs provide additional information about the current operating status.
