Compact color displays for handheld devices
The 'TFT015-22AI' is a compact graphic display from Display Visions. Its IPS panel offers an all-round viewing angle and sunlight readability.
The active area of the IPS color display from Display Visions measures just 28 mm2. With a resolution of 240x240 pixels, it provides a detailed graphic display with 16-bit color resolution. According to the manufacturer, the maximum brightness of 1,100 cd/m² ensures a high-contrast display even under extreme lighting conditions, such as in bright sunlight or under surgical lamps. In contrast to other liquid crystal displays, the contrast of this IPS panel remains virtually stable even at very oblique viewing angles thanks to AACS technology. The external installation dimensions are 32 mm x 35 mm x 3.2 mm. The 16-bit RGB, 18-bit or 8-bit parallel and SPI interfaces are available for control. The supply voltage is 3.3 V. Due to the low current consumption of typically 20 to 80 mA, the compact color displays are particularly suitable for installation in battery-operated hand-held devices.
The 'TFT015-22AITC' color IPS panel is also available with a capacitive touch surface. At 44 mm x 46 mm x 3.5 mm, it is slightly larger, but the maximum brightness of 1,000 cd/m² is only slightly lower. On the other hand, it is better protected against external weather influences thanks to the bonded touch surface.
