Comos data available on mobile devices

Siemens has expanded the Comos platform with the new version 2.0 of Comos Mobile Solutions. The upgrade is intended to improve mobile information management in globally distributed plant projects.

The current version offers a graphical user interface for touch-enabled devices. This is designed to simplify handling through context-sensitive support functions. According to the provider, all project participants can now use quick links to navigate even faster to the system information relevant to them, view documents and carry out project queries - also via tablet. External redlining PDFs can also be uploaded to the tablet, which simplifies document revision and enables traceable change management. Together with the functionalities for checking documents in and out, this should contribute to a secure and consistent review and approval process. In addition, information can be displayed at a glance via personalized dashboards. The software supports the Android, Apple iOS and Microsoft Windows operating systems. The system does not have to be installed locally; users without direct Comos access can also gain access to documents and be integrated into projects.
