Merger of HBM and BKSV

The companies Hottinger Baldwin Messtechnik (HBM) and Brüel & Kjær Sound and Vibration (BKSV) are to merge their businesses. The merger will come into effect on January 1, 2019 - under a new company name.

BKSV's strength lies in the measurement of sound and vibration, while HBM addresses the areas of testing, measuring and weighing technology. Following the merger, the new company will operate under the name HBK (Hottinger, Brüel & Kjær).

According to HBM, all existing agreements, contacts, processes and partnerships will continue unchanged.
