Romanian software specialist acquired
Ifm has already acquired the Romanian software provider Devtel as of December 1, 2022. It will be integrated into GIB SRL, based in Cluj, Romania.
The core competencies of the Romanian company Devtel Software, founded in 2010, are data science, industrial automation and automotive HMI (human machine interface). The company has been working together with ifm on various software and use case topics for several years. The technology stack includes C++/Qt, .NET Core, Angular/React for cloud and web applications. Ifm has now taken over the company. The 31 employees who are moving to the subsidiary of the ifm solutions division will then be exclusively responsible for the further development of ifm software solutions.
The merger of GIB srl and Devtel Sofware has been operating under the name ifm devtel software srl since December 2022. Following the takeover, the team of almost 40 people will move into a new office in Cluj-Napoca, around 160 km from Sibiu, in the coming months. The two previous managing directors of Devtel, Aurel Popirtac and Lucian Horga, will run the company alongside the existing management team.
