Investor relies on MES
Alpina has acquired a stake in Gefasoft. In doing so, the technology investor intends to lay the foundations for the establishment of a group of companies in the field of MES.
"The demand for MES solutions will continue to grow with increasing networking and automation. Gefasoft 's management convinced us with their market knowledge and specific expertise in this area," says Dr. Florian Strehle, Partner at Alpina, explaining the latest addition to the technology investor's portfolio. The product and service portfolio is to be continuously expanded in this context. In addition to the planned organic growth, targeted acquisitions are also planned. The three founders Franz Fuchs, Heinz Rabe and Ortwin Tischler will remain with the company as managing directors.
Gefasoft, founded in 1984, is a provider of IT solutions for increasing the efficiency of manufacturing processes. With the object-oriented process visualization GraphPic and the scalable and cloud-capable MES software Legato Sapient, the company offers scalable solutions for various industries. Alpina is an owner-managed investment company that specializes in financing medium-sized technology companies in Europe and currently manages around EUR 300 million.
