The German company Inosoft GmbH has expanded its long-standing stake in the Swiss company Inosoft AG and will fully acquire the company as of July 2026. The company will continue to operate independently and is expected to collaborate more closely with Inosoft GmbH and Inosoft Süd GmbH in the future.

As part of its restructuring, Inosoft AG is relocating its headquarters from Flamatt to Thayngen.

Thomas Helmbold Takes Over as Managing Director

The acquisition also brings a change in leadership. Thomas Helmbold will take over as CEO of Inosoft AG, succeeding company founder Hanspeter Knutti. Helmbold has served as Senior Business Development Manager at Inosoft Süd GmbH since 2022 and has experience in the automation industry.

Going forward, he will be responsible for the Swiss market, serve existing customers in Germany and Austria, and is tasked with expanding new customer business in the border triangle.

Jens Klocke, Managing Director of Inosoft GmbH, explains: “The acquisition of Inosoft AG is a logical next step for us—our partnership with Hanspeter Knutti has proven over decades what is possible when we work together toward a common goal. We look forward to continuing on this path as a single company.”

Founder Steps Down After Nearly Four Decades

Hanspeter Knutti had built up the company since 1987—at that time under the name Powersoft AG—and focused it on the VisiWin software. According to the company, under his leadership, Inosoft AG developed into an established partner for Swiss machine builders.

Commenting on the leadership change, Knutti said: “It has been a pleasure to embark on this journey—I have never regretted the decision to fully align the company with VisiWin. I’m excited to see where this journey will take us next.”
